German Bundesliga to start in September

Berlin/Xinhua: German Bundesliga's next season will run from September 18, 2020 to May 22, 2021 with a shortened winter break, according to the match calendar published by the German Football Association on Friday.

The first round matches of the German Cup will take place from September 11 to 14, 2020, and conclude on May 13, 2021.

The winter break is set to be shortened as the last games of 2020 will be Cup games on December 23, and league games of 2021 will resume on January 2, two weeks earlier than the previous season.

More information about the schedule will be announced at a later date.
