Former India captain Sourav Ganguly receives death threat

Kolkata, Jan 9 (IBNS): Former captain of Indian cricket team and current president of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), Sourav Ganguly, on Monday claimed that he has received a letter with death threat.

According to reports, an anonymous letter was sent to his address via courier on Jan 5, where he was threatened to be killed if Sourav visits West Medinipur in future.

Ganguly is scheduled to attend an event at Vidyasagar University in West Medinipur on Jan 19.

However, the former skipper has lodged a complaint at the local police station on Monday.

Ganguly has not confirmed yet if he would attend the event or cancel it, following the threat.
