Sushma Swaraj presents her statement on Pakistan visit in Rajya Sabha

| | Dec 14, 2015, at 07:50 pm
New Delhi, Dec 14 (IBNS) External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj presented her statement regarding her recent visit to Pakistan in the Rajya Sabha on Monday.
Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, Swaraj said that the two countries will hold talks on all matters related to peace, security and Jammu and Kashmir.

Swaraj said, "Continued estrangement of India and Pakistan was a hurdle to realisation of peace and prosperity in the region."

Barely after Swaraj made the  statement in the Rajya Sabha, the Upper House of the Parliament was adjourned as the opposition protested against the growing violence in Punjab.

They also alleged foul-play against the BJP in Kerala, where the PM is suppose to visit and the CM of the state has been struck off from the list of guests attending an important event, which will be graced by the PM.

Swaraj is also expected to make another statement in the Lok Sabha, later on Monday.
