Prime Minister Narendra Modi launches 'Stand up India' scheme

New Delhi, Apr 5 (IBNS): Launching the 'Stand up India' scheme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said the job seekers of the nation have to become job creators.

He said the scheme aims to empower every Indian.

"'Stand up India' aims to empower every Indian and enable them to stand on their own feet," Modi said.

"The job seeker has to become a job creator," the Prime Minister said during the launch of his scheme.

He said: "This scheme is going to transform the lives of people from Dalit and Tribal communities."

Speaking on the issue of E-rickshaws, Modi said: "E-rickshaws will be given to those who do not own rickshaws. The beneficiaries of this will be the poor."
