Narada sting operation: Left Front holds protest march in Kolkata

| | Mar 18, 2016, at 04:15 am
Kolkata, Mar 17 (IBNS): Demanding proper investigation into the Narada News sting operation issue and punishment for those Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders, who were seen taking bribes in sting footage, the Kolkata unit of Left Front (LF) on Thursday held a protest march in Kolkata.
The rally started from Esplanade area and concluded at Sealdah area in north Kolkata.

Left Front leaderships, including LF chairman Biman Bose and CPI-M state secretary Surya Kanta Mishra, and thousand of its supporters joined the march here.

Meanwhile, claiming the sting operation is fake and a slander of oppositions, the ruling TMC will conduct another rally from Sealdah to Esplanade area in the city.

A newly launched news portal Narada News on Monday released a sting operation's video footage in New Delhi, where few TMC leaders, MPs, MLAs and ministers were shown taking bribes.

TMC leaderships, however, alleged that the video footage was doctored.

Note: IBNS did not conduct the sting operation and we did not verify the video footage.
