Kharagpur, Mar 27 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi hit out at the West Bengal government over the Saradha and the alleged Narada News sting operation issues and said if his Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is given a chance in the state then it will bring development here.

"During the last five years, the destruction made by this government is more than the one created by the 34 years rule of the previous government," Modi said while addressing a rally here as he targeted the TMC -run government and the previous Left Front government of the state.

"Did you form the government here so that they can engage in corruption. First it was Saradha, now the state witnessed Narada here," Modi said.

Attacking CM Mamata Banerjee and her government, Modi said: "People who speak about Ma-Mati-Manush- have shattered the hopes of the Bengali people here."

He said if his party is given a chance then it will develop the state.

"Give me a chance here. I am promising you that we will create a new Bengal from the situation here," Modi said.

"I want to change Bengal and make the state reach new heights," he said

Hearing Azaan, Modi paused his speech during the Kharagpur election rally.
