Man fires bullet over road accident, 1 shot

Kolkata, Mar 23 (IBNS): A man was shot on Wednesday evening when another man fired bullet at Suin Ho Lane in Kolkata's Kasba area during a brawl over road accident, reports said.

According to reports, a local TMC activist Amardeep Singh allegedly fired bullet during a hassle due to a road accident.

Another man, who was identified as Debasish Mondal, was shot in his leg and has been admitted to M. R. Bangur Hospital.

After the incident, the accused surrendered in the local police station with a firearm and has been arrested immediately.

A huge police force and Central Police Force personnel have been reached the spot.

However, local TMC leaders denied Amardeep Singh's connection with the ruling party.

Police have started investigation into the matter.
