Kejriwal now comes under fire over I-Day controversy
New Delhi, Aug 16 (IBNS): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has landed himself in another controversy with students, attending an Independence Day function that he addressed, spelling his name in a visual formation at a stadium in a national capital.
The students spelled the CM's name several times during his 40-minute speech.
Responding to the controversy, Kejriwal tweeted: "Some school students made visual formation of my name during independnce celebrations. I was not at all aware that students wud do this."
Kejriwal however agreed that this formation was wrong.
"I am told it has been a practice in del govt to form visual formation of whoever chief guest is (CM or LG). I agree this is a wrong practice. I will stop this practice forthwith," he posted.
Criticising the move, lawyer-activist Prashant Bhushan, who was expelled by Kejriwal from the AAP earlier this year, tweeted, "From crs on personality cult promoting Kejriwal ads to 'Jai Ho Kejriwal' instead of Jai Hind. Shameful Megalomania."
