J&K: N.N. Vohra invites Mehbooba Mufti to form govt

Jammu, Apr 2 (IBNS) Jammu and Kashmir Governor N.N. Vohra on Saturday invited President J&K Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti to form and lead the PDP-BJP coalition government of the state.

"Designate Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba invited today to form government with the BJP after the consultation with both party leaders," said Spokesman of Rajbhwan

The Governor’s invitation to Mufti follows the earlier discussions with the PDP and the BJP Presidents regarding formation of government in the state and the subsequent communications received from her and Sat Sharma, President, J&K BJP with regard to the matter, he said.

The oath-taking ceremony is scheduled to be held on Apr 4 at 11.00 am at the Raj Bhavan in Jammu.
