Jamshedpur, Jul 22 (IBNS) Large number of Police and security forces have been posted in Jharkhand's steel city of Jamshedpur after clashes between two communities over an alleged molestation incident.

The indefinite curfew was clamped yesterday.

About 150 people have been named in FIRs or police complaints and over 100 have been arrested after group clashes.

All schools will remain closed on Wednesday

Media reports quoted police as saying that the alleged molestation has not been confirmed.  "Nobody has been able to confirm that incident. It is still in the domain of rumours," he said.

The clash began two days ago after reports that a girl had been harassed by a member of a different community. Members of the girl's community assembled near a temple in Mango area and put up a road blockade. This turned into violence and stone throwing.

A bandh was called by the Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad  on Tuesday

The Chief Minister ordered an inquiry last night and appealed for peace
