Hyderabad, Apr 12 (IBNS) In a tragic incident, a 19-year-old boy, has died at a Hyderabad hospital, three days after he caught fire while trying a dangerous stunt for a reality TV show, reports said.

The teenager doused himself with kerosene and then went on to lit his shirt in the stunt. However, he caught fire after he could put off the blaze. The entire incident was filmed by his friends.

Jalil-ud-din, a college student, on Thursday gathered a few children from the neighbourhood and asked them to take his video while he performed his stunt, reports quoted police as saying.

Jalil-ud-din first poured kerosene in his mouth and tried to blow out flames.  He later poured kerosene all over himself and then set himself on fire. When the situation started getting out of control, the children panicked and ran away.

The teenager was rushed to the Osmania Hospital, where he died on Monday

The boy signed a dying declaration before a judicial magistrate, claiming that he alone was responsible for his death.
