Girl students will get smartphones, graduates scooty if Cong wins UP: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra

Lucknow/UNI: After announcing 40 percent reservation for women in allotment of party tickets in Uttar Pradesh assembly polls, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has announced a big sop for the girls students, if the party comes to power in the state .

In a tweet on Thursday morning, Vadra said, "Yesterday I met some girl students. They said that she needs a smartphone for reading and security."

"I am happy that today with the consent of the announcement committee, UP Congress has decided that if the government is formed, Inter pass girls will be given smartphones and graduate girls will be given electric scooty," she announced.

Earlier on Oct 19, Priyanka in a press conference in Lucknow announced to reserve 40 per cent seats for women candidates.
