Fresh earthquake jolts Nepal

Kathmandu, Apr 26 (IBNS): A fresh quake, which is measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale, hit Nepal on Sunday night,Indian Meteorological officials said.

The  India Meteorological Department website called the intensity of the earthquake as 'slight'.

The epicentre of the quake is located in Nepal at latitude 27.6 degree north  and longitude 85.7 degree east.

The quake occurred at 21:56 pm (IST).

More than 2400 people have been killed as a 7.9 magnitude  earthquake rocked Nepal on Saturday.

Earlier in the day, a quake measuring  6.7 in the Richter scale hit the country.

According to the  United States Geological Survey, the aftershocks measured 6.7 in the Richter scale.
