Financial issues of the Rafale aircraft deal to be sorted out soon: Modi

New Delhi, Jan 25 (IBNS): India and France signed MoUs regarding buying of Rafale aircraft and the financial aspects will be settled soon declared the Indian and French premiers in New Delhi.

According to the MoU, India will buy 36 Rafale jets from France.The purchase of the 36 Rafale jets from France would cost India around Rs 60,000 crore, according to reports.

During their joint speech at the conclusion of the talks on Monday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Francois Hollande said that the price and other financial details will be settled in a few days..

Modi said the deal will strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries and the financial issues for the purchase of 36 aircraft will be sorted out soon.

Hollande said India and France will be cooperating in many more fields.

Modi had announced about the aircraft deal in April 2015 but the negotiations hit a roadblock over price issues, according to media reports.
