DG CRPF reviews security in Kashmir
Srinagar, May 14 (IBNS): Militancy in Jammu and Kashmir is on the decline but it will take some more time to finish it completely, CRPF Director General Prakash Mishra said here on Thursday.
Three days after militants shot dead two paramilitary troopers in Sangam area of Anantnag district in South Kashmir, a top CRPF officer on Thursday said that the force and the state police are having a joint venture to improve and modify the situation to avoid such an incident.
“We are having a joint venture in between state and security forces to improve and tackle such situation. The anti national activities which are happening in Kashmir valley is under control now," Director General CRPF Prakash Mishra told reporters at the sidelines of passing out parade at Humhama in outskirts of Srinagar City.
DG CRPF also visited Sangam area of south Kashmir, where 2 CRPF personnel of 90 BN were killed by militants on May 11.
He interacted with the officers and personnel of the unit and analysed the security
scenario.
