Nandigram/UNI: Suvendu Adhikari on Friday led a peaceful protest march in Nandigram to condemn the vandalism on the temples and murderous attacks on the Hindu minority people in Bangladesh, saying the criminal happenings across the border were a wake up call in West Bengal.

Thousands of people holding placards and festoon took party in the peaceful protest march, which was organized by the Hindu Jagaran Manch in response to ISKON's global protest call across 150 countries to condemn the brutalities inflicted upon the the minority Hindus since the Durga Puja festival in Bangladesh.

"Marched alongside fellow Sanatanis in a procession from Haripur Bus Stand to Tengua More at Nandigram organized by the Hindu Jagaran Mancha to protest against the brutalities faced by the Bangladesh Hindu community during Durga Puja," Adhikari wrote on his tweeted.

" The events across the border are a wakeup call,"BJP leader Adhikari also warned.

The Nandigram MLA has been vocal against the attacks on the minority people in Bangladesh and regularly taking part in various programmes with appeal to the people to save the Sanatani people in the neighbouring country.

"Sanatani Hindu community of WB must awake from their slumber & realise how fragile is our false sense of security, which may go for a toss when someone conspires to plant their holy book to malign us," Adhikari maintained.

"Hell would break loose & we would face the savage wrath for no fault of ours," Adhikari warned further.

After the march ended, Mr Adhikari also addressed the gathering and announced to donate CCTV each to the temple authorities across his assembly constituency.

He also offer to donate a microphone system to each temple so that their kirtan col be heard in the villages and rice and food-grains whenever they would hold hari kirtan.
