BJP likely to take action against Kirti Azad today

New Delhi, Dec 23 (IBNS) The Bharaitya Janata Party is likely to take action on Wednesday against party MP Kirti Azad, whose open diatribe against Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley over DDCA corruption has put the the organisation in a grave embarrassment.

Media reports said the BJP may take disciplinary action against  Azad on Wednesday evening.

The parliamentarian defied his party as he made corruption allegations linked to the Delhi and District Cricket Association that  Jaitley headed for 13 years till 2013. After holding a press conference on Sunday, he followed it up with an open dare on social media and barbs in Parliament.

Jaitley has sued leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, for slapping allegations on him.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi defended  Jaitley at a weekly meeting of BJP lawmakers.

Senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad has said the allegations against Jaitley are baseless.
,
On Monday, BJP chief Amit Shah also broke his silence, defending  Jaitley and accusing the AAP government in Delhi of running a malicious campaign against the minister.

Shah, however, did not comment on  Azad.
