US: Florida shooting suspect may have had ties to white nationalist group

Florida, Feb 16 (IBNS):  In the deadliest school shooting in America since Sandy Hook in 2012, Nikolas Cruz who was charged on Thursday with 17 counts of premeditated murder on Wednesday in a Florida high school, was alleged to be a member of white nationalist militia, media reports said.

'How do we allow a gunman to come to our children's school?'’ That was the question a mother of a 14-year-old victim had reportedly asked CNN yesterday, pleading with President Donald Trump to “do something.”

U.S. President Donald Trump, while addressing the country described the attack as a "scene of terrible violence, hatred and evil," and  called for healing.

But while mentioning about tackling the issues of mental health, Trump reportedly  made no mention of gun control  but said his administration was committed to making schools safer.

Trump had also reportedly tweeted that students and neighbors could have done more to prevent the tragedy.

Cruz had a semi-automatic weapon, a gas mask and smoke grenades, county law-enforcement officials said.
