'Bing, Bing, Gone': Trump shares AI-generated images of US striking Iran as ceasefire tensions rise

US President Donald Trump posted a series of AI-generated images showing fictional American military strikes against Iran, as uncertainty deepened over the fragile ceasefire in the region.

The images, shared on Trump’s Truth Social account, depicted dramatic combat scenes involving US forces attacking Iranian targets.

One image showed a US warship firing what appeared to be a laser weapon at an aircraft marked with the Iranian flag. The plane was shown exploding mid-air. Trump captioned the image: “Lasers: Bing, Bing, GONE!!!”

Another digitally created image portrayed a US drone flying over a group of Iranian fast boats moments before multiple explosions destroyed the vessels.

Trump wrote alongside the post: “BYE BYE, ‘FAST BOATS’.”

Posts come amid fragile ceasefire

The posts came at a particularly tense moment in relations between Washington and Tehran, with efforts to preserve the ceasefire appearing increasingly unstable.

Trump said on Monday that the truce, which has largely paused hostilities in the Gulf for more than a month, may not last much longer.

His comments followed the rejection of Iran’s latest proposal aimed at reviving negotiations.

Calling Tehran’s response “totally unacceptable”, Trump said the United States would eventually secure a “complete victory” over Iran.

“The ceasefire is on massive life support, where the doctor walks in and says, ‘Sir, your loved one has approximately a one per cent chance of living,’” Trump told reporters.

White House frustration growing

According to reports, frustration has been mounting inside the White House over the slow pace of negotiations.

CNN reported that Trump has become increasingly irritated with Iran’s handling of talks and is now more willing to consider renewed military action than in recent weeks.

Sources cited by the network said Trump is particularly angered by the continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz and what he sees as divisions within Iran’s leadership delaying progress in nuclear discussions.

Trump met his national security team again at the White House on Monday to discuss possible next steps.

However, officials said no major decision is expected before he departs for China on Tuesday afternoon.
