One of the founding members of Pakistan's PTI political outfit was shot dead in Lahore's  Valencia Town on Friday after he came out of a mosque after offering prayer.

Dr Shahid Siddique went to offer prayer in Khizra Mosque at H-block of Valencia Town.

He was reportedly attacked when he was coming out of the mosque and heading towards his car.

The suspect escaped the scene on foot.

The victim suffered four bullet injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital where he could not survive, reported Dawn News.

The victim’s son told Dawn that an unidentified attacker approached his father outside the mosque and opened fire at him before fleeing.
