Pakistan is rebuilding terror camps, launchpads that were destroyed by Indian Armed Forces during Operation Sindoor: Reports

Pakistan is re-establishing the terror camps and terrorist launchpads that were destroyed by the Indian Armed Forces during Operation Sindoor last month.

The operation was launched by the Indian Army as a response to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which left 26 people, mostly tourists, dead in the popular tourist destination in Jammu and Kashmir.

A coordinated effort, with the full backing of the Pakistani military, spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), and government, is underway to reconstitute these critical nodes of terror infrastructure, primarily in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and adjoining areas, reported NDTV.

What happened on May 7?

Days after the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, the tourist town in the hilly Union Territory that draws hundreds of tourists from across India and even the world, the Indian Armed Forces destroyed nine terror camps across Pakistan and PoK by carrying out precision strikes.

The terror infrastructures reportedly belonged to terror outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen.

The JeM headquarters in Bahawalpur, considered as one of the major hubs of terror activities in the country, was also hit during the operation.

Sources told India Today news channel that Pakistan is trying to build high-tech, smaller terror camps in dense forests near the Line of Control (LoC).

This strategy is aimed at evading surveillance and airstrikes, according to sources who spoke to India Today.

The camps currently being rebuilt are located in areas such as Luni, Putwal, Taipu Post, Jamila Post, Umranwali, Chaprar, Forward Kahuta, Chota Chak, and Janglora, the news channel reported.

TRF meeting

The Resistance Front (TRF) had claimed responsibility for the attack.

India Today reported that Indian intelligence agencies have also intercepted communications indicating a recent high-level meeting in Bahawalpur.

According to the news channel, the meeting was attended by senior commanders of Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Hizbul Mujahideen, and The Resistance Front (TRF), along with ISI officials.
