The vehicle of a senior Levies officer was damaged in an explosion in Pakistan's Qila Abdullah Bazaar area on Wednesday.

Officials told Dawn News that an improvised explosive device (IED) was planted close to a senior Levies officer’s vehicle, parked in front of Nadra office, and detonated it with a remote control.

The vehicle was badly damaged in the incident.

No casualty was reported in the incident.

“Fortunately, no one was in the vehicle when the blast took place. The Levies officer had left the vehicle just a few minutes before the explosion,” a senior police officer told Dawn News.
