Over 300 hurt in Taiwan Formosa Water Park fire

Taipei, June 28 (IBNS): More than 300 people were injured in a fire that broke out at an amusement park in Taiwan's New Taipei Bali District on Saturday, media reports said.

The injured people are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Taipei.

" A total of 349 people, who were injured in a fire at a water park party hours ago, are receiving treatments at 21 hospitals in Taipei and New Taipei as of 1:20 a.m. Sunday," CNA reported quoting latest statistics by the country's Ministry of Health and Welfare.

The fire broke out at around 8:30 p.m in Formosa Water Park.

The police have started investigating the cause of the mishap.

The fire has been brought under control.
