The Office of Tibet in Brussels, Belgium, has released a series of commemorative postal stamps to mark the Year of Compassion to honour the 14th Dalai Lama on his 90th birthday.

The stamps, issued by the Belgian postal service, serve as a symbolic gesture honouring Dalai Lama’s lifelong dedication to nonviolence, universal responsibility, and the promotion of human values.

These stamps will be used in all official and public correspondence throughout the designated Year of Compassion, which runs from July 6, 2025, to July 5, 2026.

"The commemorative stamps for destinations within Belgium, Europe and the rest of the world bear the inscription 'Year of Compassion – 90th Birthday of H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet,' serve as a daily reminder of the values His Holiness has championed for decades," reads a Facebook post issued by the Office of Tibet in Brussels.

The release of the stamps is part of a broader global observance of the Year of Compassion, with events planned across continents.

The Year of Compassion commemorative stamps are available for philatelists and supporters alike at the Office of Tibet Brussels at their face value with no additional cost.
