London (Ontario)/ IBNS: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was hit by gravel while boarding a campaign bus surrounded by angry protesters in London city in Ontario on Monday.

While speaking with the reporters later on the campaign plane, Trudeau confirmed that although he was hit by gravel, he is okay, CBC News reports said.

Earlier also Trudeau had been a target of campaign protests which once led to the cancellation of the campaign's planned rally.

Condemning the disgusting incident in the strongest terms possible in a tweet, Canada's Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole said, "Political violence is never justified and our media must be free from intimidation, harassment, and violence."
