Ankara/Xinhua: The Turkish security forces detained Soumaya Raissi, an Islamic State (IS) member wanted by France, semi-official Anadolu Agency reported on Friday.

The 30-year-old Tunisian national, mother of one child, was caught with fake Syrian identity cards in Namik Kemal neighborhood of Seyhan district in southern Adana city, the agency quoted anonymous Turkish security sources as saying.

Interpol sought Raissi with red notice and she was identified as "dangerous" and "activist" by the French authorities.

The agency reported that her husband Rachet Raissi was deported after spending about five months in prison in Turkey's southern Gaziantep in 2016.
