German tourist robbed in Lahore while he was campaigning near airport

A German tourist was robbed when he was camping in Lahore city of Pakistan recently.

The victim was identified as 27-year-old Berg Florian.

He was visiting Pakistan from  Diyarbakir and was campaigning close to Lahore airport when the incident happened.

According to the FIR, the victim was sleeping in his tent mounted in a park near Guldasht Town, when two armed men approached, beat him, and stole his iPhone, cash, and a camera valued at approximately Rs 500,000, ARY News reported.

After the robbery incident, the man tried to reach the Rangers office on his bicycle but he collapsed on his way due to injury.

Locals rushed him to Rangers hospital for treatment.

The tourist also alleged that he informed about the robbery incident to the patrolling Dolphin Squad, but they demanded money from him, the news channel reported.

After the victim requested, the Lahore Police registered a case under the provisions of theft, applying Section 382 of The Pakistan Penal Code [Theft after preparation made causing death, hurt or restraint in order to the committing of the theft].
