Earthquake hits southern Indian Ocean, no casualty
Sydney, June 14 (IBNS) An earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter Scale hit he southern Indian Ocean on Saturday.
The epicenter of the quake was located 671 KM West-North-West of Cocos Islands in Australia, the USGS said in its website.
Australia has issued a tsunami warning following the earthquake.
"Tsunami Threat to offshore Australian islands and territories," Joint Australian Tsunami Warning Centre website said.
No casualty or damage to property has been reported so far.
