Donald Trump says he won't be attending Joe Biden's inauguration on Jan 20

| @indiablooms | Jan 09, 2021, at 04:55 am

Washington/IBNS: United States outgoing President Donald Trump on Friday tweeted to inform that he won't be attending Joe Biden's inauguration to the office on Jan 20.

"To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th," Trump wrote on Twitter.

The tweet is a clear indication that Trump won't be there at the White House to bridge the gap with his Democrat successor Joe Biden.

Hours after the mob violence at the Capitol on Wednesday by Trump supporters over his defeat in the country's presidential election, the US Congress formally certified Joe Biden as the next President, giving a final blow to the Republican leader.

Since 1869, never has an outgoing US president missed the inauguration of the incoming leader, a ceremony symbolizing the peaceful transfer of power.
