Did Iran strike Oracle's office in Dubai? UAE responds
Dubai has dismissed online reports claiming that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targeted a data centre belonging to US technology giant Oracle Corporation in the city.
In a statement posted on X, the Dubai Media Office described the claims that the IRGC had launched or attempted an attack on the company’s data centre as “fake news.”

Reinforcing its stance, the office shared a post captioned: “Fake News Alert.”
Earlier on Tuesday, the IRGC had warned that companies it accuses of involvement in “terrorist espionage” could be potential targets. In a statement, the group said institutions allegedly contributing to intelligence operations, communications technology, and artificial intelligence used in attacks on Iran would be considered “legitimate targets,” according to Xinhua news agency.
Media reports said the statement named several major firms, including Cisco, HP Inc., Intel, Oracle Corporation, Microsoft, Apple Inc., Google, and Meta Platforms.
Meanwhile, amid rising tensions, Argentina has ordered the expulsion of Iran’s chargé d’affaires in Buenos Aires, Mohsen Tehrani, declaring him persona non grata.
Argentina’s Foreign Ministry said the move was in response to an earlier Iranian statement rejecting Buenos Aires’s designation of the IRGC as a “terrorist” organisation, as reported by Al Jazeera.
The ministry said Iran’s remarks included “false, offensive and unfounded accusations against the Argentinian Republic and its highest authorities.”
“These statements constitute unacceptable interference in our country’s internal affairs and a deliberate misrepresentation of decisions adopted in accordance with international law and national law,” it added.
Recently, Argentina formally designated the IRGC as a terrorist organisation. In a statement issued on Tuesday, President Javier Milei’s office said, “The National Government has declared the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a terrorist organization.”
