China bus crash kills 38

Changsha, July 19 (IBNS): At least 38 people were killed following a vehicle crash triggered fire and explosion in China's Hunan province on Saturday, media reports said.

Five others were injured in the mishap.

"The accident happened at around 3 a.m. on a section of the Hukun (Shanghai to Kunming) Expressway in Hunan Province, when a freight van loaded with flammable liquid, probably alcohol, rear ended a passenger coach capable of carrying 53 people," China's Xinhua news agency reported.

According to reports, five vehicles were destroyed in the accident.

The injured people taken to a nearby hospital.
