Canada’s Gov Gen to award 63 Toronto paramedics with EMS Exemplary Service Medal

Ottawa/ IBNS: Mary Simon, Governor-General of Canada, would award 63 paramedics from Toronto Paramedic Services with EMS Exemplary Service Medals presented by Lieutenant-General Richard Rohmer and Toronto Paramedic Services Chief Paul Raftis.

The Governor-General of Canada awards Canadian EMS Exemplary Service Medals in recognition of 20 years of exemplary service, with a minimum of 10 years of service in the performance of duties involving potential risk.

The award ceremony would take place in the Officers’ Mess of Canadian Armed Forces Denison Armoury, 1 Yukon Ln. on Monday, May 30 at  1:30 p.m.

Being a secured Canadian Forces facility, government-issued photo identification is required for accessing Denison Armoury.

Limited on-site parking is available through the security gate checkpoint off of Yukon Lane. Face masks must be worn at all times and physical distancing must be observed.
