Canada: Toronto Paramedic Services to be awarded global accreditation

Toronto, Apr 9 (IBNS): The Toronto Paramedic Services’ Communications Centre (TPSCC) will be awarded the “Accredited Centre of Excellence” certification by Jerry Overton, Chair of the Board of Accreditation of the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED,) tomorrow at 1pm at 4330 Dufferin St,Toronto, Ontario, media reports said.

TPSCC chief Gord McEachen will receive the award on behalf of the organization.

Located in Salt Lake City, Utah in the United States, IAED was established in 1988 and is dedicated to establishing the highest standard of communications centre protocols for the delivery of 911 emergency medical care.

Applications for accreditation from communications centres around the world are sent to IAED every three years and Toronto Paramedic Services will be receiving this industry honour for the fourth time.

Certificates of excellence for the results they achieved during the accreditation audit would also be awarded to 22 emergency medical dispatchers and call-takers.
