Canada: Quebec heads to provincial polls today

Quebec City, Oct 1 (IBNS): The provincial elections in Quebec will be held on Monday as several voters will be heading to cast their votes, media reports said.

The Liberal Party and the Coalition Avenir Quebec are fighting for the first place.

All the main leaders were seen campaigning hard on the last day before the elections on Sunday.

The Quebecers will cast their votes on Monday morning.

The results are expected to be out at around 8 pm.

At the dissolution of the legislature, the Liberal Party had 68 seats. The Party Quebecois had 28 while the Coalition had 21.

Small left-leaning Quebec solidaire had three.

The majority mark is 63.
