Canada: Quebec boy still missing, search continues

| @indiablooms | Mar 14, 2018, at 09:46 pm

Quebec City, Mar 14 (IBNS): A 10-year old Quebec boy, who went missing on Tuesday, is still without any trace, media reports said.

Ariel Jeffrey Kouakou went out at 12 p.m. on Tuesday to go to a friend's house but went missing.

Though the police had issued an Amber alert in the city despite not meeting any criteria, the boy could not be found.

The police said the boy was black, has black hair and was wearing a black hoody on the day he went missing.

Sgt. Laurent Gingras told CTV News, "We do not know at this point if a criminal hand is involved or not. We cannot exclude that hypothesis - but we're not putting it forward either at this point."

Police have said a lady told a passerby that he has seen a boy who identifies with the desciption.

"At 2 p.m. Monday, a lady might have seen the missing person in a park which is close to his home and his friend's home. It makes sense because he left home at 12:30 ... and the park is right in the middle" Insp. Ian Lafreniere said.

However, the police have cancelled the Amber alert on Wednesday night.
