Yaounde, Jan 26 (IBNS) At least 25 people were killed and another 62 injured in a suicide attack on Monday in the northern part of Cameroon.

CNN quoted Albert Mekondane Obounou, a local administrative officer as saying, "There were in all three explosions. Two went off in the Bodo Market and a third exploded on a bridge near the military camp."

Obounou said, "The temporary count informs us that at least 25 people were killed in the bombings."

Nigerian fringe group Boko Haram is suspected to have carried out the attack.

The BBC quoted a witness as saying, ""We were in the market [at] around 10 in the morning when we heard a blast. The second one went off not more than two minutes after and we took to our heels."

The witness also said that two out of the three suicide bombers were teenage girls.

The witness further said, "There is a vigilante roadblock just outside town where another bomb went off and killed six people."
