16 killed in Ivory Coast attack
Yamoussoukro, Mar 14 (IBNS) In a gun attack on a beach resort in southern Ivory Coast at least 16 people have been killed, media reports said on Sunday.
Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) has claimed responsibity for the attack.
"The attackers fired on beach-goers in Grand Bassam, about 40km (25 miles) from the commercial capital Abidjan," BBC reported.
The resort is quite popular with local and foreign tourists.
