Man dies in a multi-vehicle crash

Toronto, Oct. 27 (IBNS): A multi-vehicle crash in Pickering, east of Toronto, Canada, resulted in the death of a man while two other people, with serious injuries, were transported to the hospital, Durham police reported.

Durham police were informed by a witness that the driver of a black Chevrolet pickup truck struck head-on with a white Ford Escape.

The driver of the Chevrolet was travelling east on Taunton Road while the driver of the Escape was heading west when the collision occurred.

It could not be confirmed at that time which driver was in the wrong lane.

Three other westbound vehicles were also involved in the crash.

54-year-old Ajax man, who was driving the white Ford Escape, died at the scene. A female passenger in his car and the driver of the Chevrolet truck were both transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The name of the deceased has not been released so far.

Investigations by the police are still under progress.
