Ottawa, Dec 1 (IBNS): Tory MP Blake Richards has been given boot by House of Commons Speaker Geoff Regan for excessive heckling, media reports said.

After giving a warning to Richards, Regan took the decisive step to throw the MP out of the house.

The house had witnessed Richards excessively questioning Finance Minister Bill Morneau over his ethics and financial dealings.

It is after this, Regan had offered Morneau three options-either to be in order, to step outside or to receive help to be outside, quietly asking to be disciplined or be booted.

Regan then asked Sergeant-at arms to take Regan out of the house.

The incident is the first in last 15 years when a speaker has booted a MP out of the house.

2002 was the last year when Bloc Québécois MP Yvan Loubier was forced out of the house by then Speaker after the former refused to withdraw word "liar".

The speaker has the full right to take control over the house and boot out anyone if someone fails to be in order.
