Toronto, May 4 (IBNS): India's Consul General in Canada, Dinesh Bhatia, released the book ‘Ootamini Ageekarinchanu’, which is a Telugu translation by Prof. Lakshmi Prasad Yarlagadda of the book 'Haar Nahin Manunga: Ek Atal Jeevan Gatha', media reports said.

'Haar Nahin Manunga is a biography of India’s former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee written by Vijai Trivedi, a press release said.

The book was released on  May 2, 2017 in Toronto, in the presence of a large number of book lovers.

Bhatia stressed the importance of languages and thanked scholars and writers for bridging the language barriers by translating different works in various languages.

This was a great step to enhance exchange of different perspective and ideas, said Bhatia.

Lakshmi Prasad Yaralagadda said that the key to overcome the barriers of region and language lay in the exchange of ideas and understanding of different perspectives which were rooted in diverse socio-cultural settings and this could be done best by translation of books in other languages.

Translation of books into other languages is the key to attain wider audience and readership, he said.

Porf. Yaralagadda was awarded the Padmashri in 2003 and Padmabhushan in 2016 for his contributions to literature.
