Pakistan: University drops seven subjects, including Journalism, amid low response from students
Islamabad: A Pakistani university has dropped seven subjects from their list this year amid low response from students, media reports said on Monday.
Women University Swabi (WUS) reportedly dropped subjects like Statistics, Journalism, Social Work, Arabic, Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Clinical Laboratory Science from their list.
When contacted, an official concerned confirmed the development, saying low response of students forced the varsity management to stop offering admissions in seven subjects during the current year, Dawn News.
However, the fate of those students who have been admitted to these subjects is still not clear.
Another official told Dawn News some subjects were expected to continue and some might be merged into other related subjects.
