PPP rallies in Nowshera, Peshawar will be held no matter what: Bilawal tells Imran Khan govt
Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto on Friday warned the PTI government not to block its rallies in Nowshera and Peshawar or there will be “Dama Dam Mast Qalandar”.
The rallies in Nowshera will be held on Friday and on November 30 in Peshawar.
Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of PPP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial leadership, he said anti-government rallies will be held as per schedule despite the PTI’s efforts to stop party rallies in Nowshera and Peshawar.
He said, “If ruling party’s public gatherings can be held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, then why can’t the PPP hold public meetings but if attempts were made to harass the people under the guise of banning rallies, then there will be ‘Dama Dam Mast Qalandar’.”
During the meeting the PPP leader was briefed by the party’s KP chief on the details of rallies in Nowshera and Peshawar.
The leaders informed the leader that the administration has not given permission for the public gathering in Peshawar and obstacles are being raised regarding the public gathering in Nowshera, The News International reported.
However, he directed the PPP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa leaders to increase the public contacts campaign ahead of local bodies' elections.
