Kabul: It seems that women have already started facing the brunt of Taliban's resurgence in Afghanistan as is evident from the life of 29-year-old pregnant mother Chamal whose husband was killed by the insurgents in Ghazni, media reports said.

"Father of Khadija, 7, and M.Taha, 5, are among the 43 people killed by the #Taliban in #Malistan of Ghazni," tweeted journalist Zakarya Hassani.

He tweeted that he met Chamal who said she is currently homeless and facing troubles in feeding her children.

"I met them today in #Kabul. Their mother Chamal, 29, told me that soon she will give birth to her 3rd child; this time as a homeless widow struggling to feed her children," the journalist tweeted.

Violence has once again spiked in Afghanistan ever since foreign forces started leaving the country.
