Bangladesh registers 30 new COVID-19 deaths
Dhaka: Bangladesh, the South Asian nation that is struggling to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic like many other neighbours, registered 30 fresh deaths due to the virus, media reports said on Monday.
During the same period, 1,970 new COVID cases were recorded.
The total number of cases registered in the country so far stands at 12,960.
Another 30 fatalities were registered in a 24-hour count, taking the toll to 12,869, according to the latest government data released on Monday, bdnews24 reported.
The recovery count rose to 753,240 after 1,918 patients overcame the illness through treatment at home and hospital care during that time, the news portal reported.
