Pakistan-Taliban Pakistan supports Taliban, Al-Qaeda: Afrasiab Khattak
Kabul: A senior Pakistani leader has said the South Asian nation supports not only the Taliban but also Al-Qaeda to gain their regional goals.
Pakistani politician Afrasiab Khattak told 1TV news as quoted by Khaama Press that the Afghan conflict is 'rooted outside the country'.
The US- Taliban deal was against the international rules, it is due to the deal was made with a non-state negotiating group that promises to renounce violence and government recognition matters, Khattak told 1TV news as quoted by Khaama Press.
He made the comments at a time when Taliban deputy political leader Abdul Ghani Baradar is believed to have visited Pakistan in recent days.
In a cell phone video that surfaced on social media in the last few days, the head of the Taliban’s political office, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, seems to be briefing a Taliban cadre on the ongoing peace negotiations in Doha and acknowledging the presence of the Taliban’s top leadership in Pakistan, reports Voice of America.
The overt presence & activities of Afghan insurgent elements & their leaders in Pakistani territory clearly violate AFG's national sovereignty & continue to cause crisis and instability in the region, posing a serious challenge to achieving lasting peace in AFG.

The Afghanistan Foreign Affairs Ministry reacted to the videos and posted on Twitter: "The overt presence & activities of Afghan insurgent elements & their leaders in Pakistani territory clearly violate AFG's national sovereignty & continue to cause crisis and instability in the region, posing a serious challenge to achieving lasting peace in AFG."
