Bangladesh registers 19 new COVID-19 deaths

Dhaka: Bangladesh registered 19 more COVID-19 deaths in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll due to the disease to 5,905, media reports said on Friday.

The country also recorded 1,604 new cases during the same period.

Another 1,422 patients recovered from COVID-19 in the same period, bringing the total to 322,703, reports bdnews24.

The COVID-19 virus is believed to have first originated from China's Wuhan region.

It has now spread to nearly all countries across the globe.
