Bangladesh registers 30 more COVID-19 deaths in past 24 hours
Dhaka: Bangladesh has recorded 30 more deaths due to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, media reports said.
The death toll due to the disease now touched 2305.
The tally of infections surged to 181,129 with 2,686 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8am Saturday, according to the health directorate, reports bdnews24.
Another 1,628 patients recovered from the disease in the same period, taking the total to 88,034, DGHS Additional Director General Nasima Sultana was quoted as saying by the news portal in a media briefing.
The recovery rate from the highly infectious disease currently stands at 48.60 percent.
The mortality rate now stands at 1.27 percent.
