Around 130 ISIS linked suspects are in Sri Lanka: Maithripala Sirisena

Colombo, Apr 26 (IBNS): At a time when the nation witnessed a massive terror attack on Easter Sunday, Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena on Friday said country's intelligence services believed around 130 suspects linked to Islamic State (IS) group were in the country.

Eight blasts left 253 people killed in Sri Lanka, shocking the nation that has witnessed violence during the civil war days.

As per BBC reports, Zahran Hashim, a radical preacher, died at the Shangri-La hotel in the capital, Colombo.

Hashim was the alleged ringleader in the incident.

The President was quoted as saying by BBC that Hashim led the attack on the popular tourist hotel, accompanied by a second bomber identified as "Ilham". 

The Islamic State has taken responsibility for the blasts.

The attacks in the Island Nation was condemned across the world.
