Japan: Knife attack kills 19

Tokyo, July 26 (IBNS): At least 19 people have been killed in a knife attack in Kanagawa Prefecture west of Japan's Tokyo city on Tuesday, media reports said.

A knife- wielding man went on a stabbing rampage in the area that left 25 others injured.

The injured were taken to nearby hospital for treatment.


"Kanagawa prefectural police arrested Satoshi Uematsu, 26, who drove to the Tsukui Police Station and turned himself in around 3 a.m," Japan's Kyodo News reported.

He reportedly went to the police station and said he committed the crime.
