Colombo, Apr 22 (IBNS): Hours after having an Easter breakfast with her family, Sri Lankan celebrity chef Nisanga Mayadunne was killed in one of the eight blasts, which took place in Shangri-La Hotel on Sunday, media reports said.

Hours before the blast, Mayadunne posted a picture on Facebook saying, "Easter breakfast with family 😊"

The eight blasts left 290 people killed and disrupted peace in the Island Nation which had once witnessed violence during the Civil Wars.

Sri Lankan government has revealed the name of a group whom they are suspecting to be behind the eight serial blasts which rocked the nation on Sunday.

Sri Lankan Health Minister and the government spokesman Rajitha Senaratne on Monday addressed a press conference and said that a local outfit, which was identified as Muslim radical group National Tawheed Jamath, is suspected to be behind the attacks.

"There may be international links to them," the minister further said.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks so far.

He said all suicide bombers, who were involved in the attacks, were suspected to be Sri Lankan nationals.

Police have arrested 24 people so far in connection with the blasts.
